Downloading Microsoft MoneyCentral Data
Microsoft's MoneyCentral web site is one of the best out there. Their charting and stock screening features are excellent. They are integrated with MS Excel (and other spreadsheets) so can export stock and stock index data directly to a spreadsheet. Data for industry groups and sectors is provided as well as stocks, mutual funds and market indices.

Procedure
1. In a web browser go to the www.moneycentral.com web site.
2. Enter a ticker symbol in the .
3. Right click on the ticker once the chart for the equity appears and select "Historical Export" from the "File" pulldown list.
4. A spreadsheet program (probably Excel) will open with the data shown in the cells of the spreadsheet.

5. Save the spreadsheet in the correct subdirectory in /EAS/data. It is important to save the data in the *.csv (comma delimited) format

Store MoneyCentral Format data in the your_drive:/EAS/data/moneyctrl data subdirectory, where your_drive is the directory in which EAS has been installed.

For further instruction on how to use Microsoft's MoneyCentral tools see their website. For more on using Excel or another spreadsheet and how to save in the *.csv file format please consult the spreadsheet program's documentation.
