Description
The Save command is used for saving the current state of your KBF study. This includes the size and position of all the windows as well as their contents. If you select the Save button in the Command window , the following dialog will appear:

File Sim Fit Table

This dialog enables you to specify the name of the Study file and commands that are automatically executed when the study is loaded. If more that one command is chosen, they are executed in the order presented below.

File
This field contains the name of the Study file. If you select the File button, a dialog will appear in which you can change the name of the file.

Sim
If this box is checked, a simulation will be automatically executed after the study is loaded. This is useful because it makes the simulation state values available for plotting. These values are not stored with the Study file because they can be recomputed.

Fit
If this box is checked, a fit will be automatically executed after the study is loaded. In this case the field labeled Iterations specifies the number of iterations in the fit. The value of the Iterations field corresponds to the previous fit that KBF executed for this study.

Table
If this box is checked, a table file will be written after the study is loaded. In this case the field labeled Format and Table specify the format and name for the Table file. These values correspond to the previous table that KBF wrote for this study.

Example
If you load the EXAMPLE.KBF study you will notice that the State Plot and State Table windows do not contain any information. The following steps save a version of the example study that automatically executes a simulation and fit when it is loaded so that the State Plot and Table window information is available. Be sure to change the name in step 4 so that you do not overwrite the example study:
1. select the Save button in the Command window
2. check the Fit, Sim, and Table boxes in the Save Study dialog
3. select the File button in the Save Study dialog
4. enter the name automatic in the File name field
5. choose the Save and then Ok buttons in the Save Study dialog
If you do this and then load the study AUTOMATIC.KBF, you will notice that the State Plot and State Table windows contain both simulated and estimated State vector values.
